Our Story

Derek and I met at college! He was my resident advisor in the dorm I lived in. He checked in me and my bestie Amanda.  We thought he was kinda of dorky at first. He was always in our room talking to Amanda so I just assumed he had a crush on her. Then one night we were all outside goofing around and he was majorly flirting with me but I wasn't seeing it.  Then one night he asked me if I wanted to watch a movie with him then shortly after we started dating July 15, 2005. My mom met him in September at adventureland for the first time she loved him. They have the same sense humor and lot of things in common! Mom got to see him few other times when he came to visit me! I am thankful she got to meet him and get to know him before she passed! That means lot to me and I know Derek was grateful to have met her to!! He proposed to me on Christmas Eve 2010. Then on August 10th I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. We got married on June 23, 2012 it was a great day with lots of friends and family! We are truly blessed!
